PosterPrinter Paper

There are three basic types of PosterPrinter paper: standard direct thermal paper (DTP); transfer plus paper (TPP); and heavy duty poly paper. Each of these is described below.

PosterPrinter paper comes with the color built into the paper. In addition to black and white paper, PosterPrinter paper is available in a variety of color combinations. Keep in mind that color adds interest, color improves retention, color is dynamic. With the wide variety of quality Varitronics poster printer paper color combinations available, one will be perfect for your application. PosterPrinter Paper

Direct Thermal PosterPrinter Paper (DTP)
An economical paper that is perfect for a wide variety of everyday indoor applications such as banners, posters, safety signs, flip charts, motivational posters, training materials and more.

Bright, Fluorescent PosterPrinter Paper
A special standard DTP paper made with bright fluorescent yellow paper. An excellent paper to use when you need to quickly grab people's attention.
Poster Printer Paper

Transfer Plus PosterPrinter Paper (TPP)
This is a higher quality paper that creates images by transferring "ink" from a thin sheet that is included as a part of the paper. The result is sharp, clear images and more durable posters, signs and banners that resist fading in sunlight. Material printed using TPP paper can be laminated to make your visuals durable and resistant to weather.

PosterPrinter Paper

Heavy Duty Poly PosterPrinter Paper

Poly paper is the highest quality PosterPrinter paper available. It is actually a "plastic" paper that is water and tear resistant. It is excellent for posters, signs and banners that need to be durable both indoors and outdoors.

Varitronics Pro36 Color PosterPrinter
Specialty Papers:

The papers listed above can be used in the Varitronics Pro36. In addition to the papers listed above, the Pro36 can use the following papers:

Synthetic Poly Paper: This paper is a plastic material similar to Heavy Duty Poly paper, but it has no Direct Thermal or Transfer Plus properties. All printing is done using color ribbons. This paper is very durable and resistant to water and tears. It is available in white only.

Adhesive-Backed Vinyl: This unique paper can be used indors or outdoors. Adhesive-Backed Vinyl posters can be stuck directly to walls without any additional fastening. All printing is done with the Pro36 colored ribbons. This is an excellent paper for making large signs by applying the paper, after it has been printed, to a stiff fiberglass or aluminum backing. This paper is available in white only.

Coated Paper: This is a low cost alternative to vinyl and poly paper. With no Direct Thermal or Transfer Plus properties, all of the imaging is provided by the Pro36 colored ribbons.
